The requirements of this position are that the employee must have a high school diploma or GED and obtain an ALAT certification within one year of hire or position transfer. Employee will be highly encouraged to test at the LAT level as well.  Must be able to perform duties associated with the care and husbandry of animals housed in the rodent facility. Employee must be able to lift 50 lbs. All employees are considered essential and must report to work in inclement weather and may require to stay on site in the event of an emergency, such as a weather event.  Rotation weekend and holiday duty is required and will be scheduled accordingly.

-Am and PM animal observation

-Initiate health records via computer

-Daily Husbandry, room sanitation and stocking

-Follow SOP’s

-Additional assignments
